The Hunt

The sound of dripping water, the beeping of a heart monitor. The sound of nurses quietly murmuring to each other and the screams of a woman giving birth to a child. Rayne could hear them all as she led herself in through the doors of the General Hospital. But she was not here to lick her wounds.
"I'm sorry Ma'am," Said a nurse, quietly leaning over the nurses station table. "You can't be here, this is the sector for the mundane race; Orcs are tended in another building."
Rayne ignored what she could only hear to be a pompous nurse and she walked down the corridor, clenching her fist. She could hear her preys heart racing; he knew she was here. After weeks of tracking down this sordid master of disguise it was near time for his neck to become acquainted with her blade.

"Hurry up, Kirtley, we're losing him!" This was shouted by a doctor who was known for her panic attacks. Apparently, she was having one now. not neccesary while he was working on healing a freaking heart. "Nurse!" He barked. he then regained his composure. "Ma'am, may I suggest you go over there while I work?" she nodded, and walked off. Thomas set down his tools, and popped his knuckles. he removed his gloves. Aware what he was about to do, the doctors started setting down their tools, and holding their hands up, stating when they were 'Clear' of the patient so as to tell him they weren't touching it. this was delicate. His bare hands glowing with a light blue energy, he placed his hands near the open heart. the glow shifted from his hands to the heart, enveloping both as he began to heal the muscle.

Just as she came to the door, several of the security persons were running towards her. "I got you RIGHT where I want you..." She kicked open the door into the surgery room and headed in. She could hear a woman crying in the room. She could sense them all looking at her. "Finally, I've found you!" She raised her hand and appeared to point at the man with glowing hands. Then she ran into the room, stepping up onto the table, barely missing the patient as she whipped the elven daggers out of her pocket and dived onto one of the assistants just next to the man with glowing hands and ran her daggers into his stomach. She seemed to stare above him. "Checkmate,"

Thomas was almost done... there! the last of the heart was healed, and was returned to normal. he was working on finishing touches when the door busted open. In walked this tall woman with orc-like features. Thomas could tell she was a half-breed. not that that mattered to him. What mattered was the fact she leapt up on the table, and stabbed the dude next to him. once he fell to the ground, Thomas' hands blazed with light as he went to heal him. he didn't care that the man was a total jerk to everyone. he didn't care that he absolutley hated the guy's guts. he was just doing his job. He looked up, and shook his head.

Rayne could hear the healer approaching and looked towards him, holding up a hand. She seemed to look past him, like she wasn't totally sure where he was. "It's laid to rest." Her Carvareian accent was heavy. She stood up slowly and stared ahead of her. "This d*cks been stealing and killing children from all over the damned Republic." She went to the surgical station, still staring ahead of her as her hand fumbled on the table for a cloth, using the patients bedsheet to wipe her daggers clean, not seeming to notice what she was doing.

Thomas looked at the man, seeing past the beard, the moustache. It was him! Filicit Brokras, notorious child killer. He was hiding in the hospital? Thomas would need to get a report in on that. Thomas rubbed his hands. "Be that as it may, I'm afraid I am going to have to ask you to leave. I'm finished here anyway, I'll escort you." Thomas had already realized she was either blind or had bad eyes. he only kept from offering because she might take offense. she dind't ask for help, after all. he stood next to her, ready to leave.

Rayne laughed under her breath. "I'd say I don't need help, but I'm pretty sure security will be pretty pissy at me. I might need your help in that part." She felt for her daggers sheathes and started to put them away, her last dagger slipping over the sheathe and instead impaling her hand. Gritting her teeth, she put the dagger away and held her hand to her chest, hissing under her breath.

I wandered through the halls of the General Hospital. I don’t know why I went in, I wasn’t sick or injured. I rarely got sick and even when I did; I never had to go to a hospital. It must have been a subconscious decision. I wish my brain operated like a computer, never straying from the task that is was assigned. After a few minutes of wandering the halls, I stumbled into what looked like an operating room. Two people were in there. “Oh, umm… hi?” I said awkwardly.

Thomas looked at the wounded half-orc's hand. "Umm, would you mind if I helped you with that?" Then, the door opened, and a half elf walked in. "um... hello. I'm Thomas, how may I help you?"

OOC: She hides her pointed ears under her hair so that she looks like a pure human.

"I don't know. I kind of wandered in here for some unknown reason," I said. "Shouldn't that Orc be in another building, ya know, because we treat them in another building." I look down at my phone and type some random stuff on it, trying to be less awkward.

I walked into the hospital, I was here on a mission, there was a maggot vampire that had angered the wrong people. People with enough money to pay me to take them out. My hat and sun glasses hid my face well as I walked into a room and I pointed at the male human, "You! Where is room 398?" I had absolutely no time for pleasantries.

I quickly pull up a map of the hospital on my phone. "Room 398 is down the hall" I said without taking my eyes off of my phone. "However, if you are looking for the blood bank, which would be better for you, it isn't in Room 398 so I don't really know why you are going there." I put my phone in may pocket and looked at the person.

I walked out, my target was almost dead, asI walked into room 398 I took out my pistol and shot the maggot at least 9 times and walked out of the room like nothing happened.

The sound of a gun being fired made me jump. I instinctively reach inside of my jacket for my 1911, but stop my hand. This wasn't the place to be pulling out a firearm just because I heard a pop. That pop could have come from any piece of medical equipment in the hospital.

"It was quite obvious. You have the red eyes and black hair of someone trying to be scary. Not to mention the way you dress as if it were a 'timeless' style. Then there was the fact that you don't show up on the security cameras." I took out my phone again and pull up some security footage of doors opening when no one was there to show to the vampire.

"Well then, aren't you the observational type," I said sarcasticslly as security ran into the other room as a nurse screamed in horror, "I should take my leave now."

Thomas must have zoned out. here we had a girl who walked in, and then a.... sweet mother of... that was a vampire..... he felt his hand crawl to his pocket, even though he didn't have a weapon.

Rayne completely ignored whatever was going on. Ticking her head in acknowledgement to the newcomers voices. She resisted the animalistic urge to hiss at them in irritation, the healer who had offered to help her especially. But it wasn't as though she could clean her own wounds. She held her bleeding hand out to the healer cautiously.
"Either you in the hunters guild?" She asked the two newcomers.

I chuckled, "You could say I am, though Hunter implies a possibility of failure, I call myself a Slayer." I cracked my neck, when I saw the human male reach for a weapon and pulled my gun out and had it trained between his eyes in a matter of 3 seconds.

Raynes orcish ear twitched to the sound of the gun cocking and, yanking her still bleeding hand away from the healer, she grabbed the vampires gun and pointed it at the ceiling. "This is not your shooting range vampire, killing off innocent bystanders simply because they are nothing but frightened sheep will not condone your actions," She suddenly slung her longbow off her back, the ends heavy with metal, and slung it so it hit the human male going for the weapon and scattered him, unconcious, to the ground. "Putting Witnesses to bed however, is but my FAVORITE chore..."

Thomas took her hand gingerly, his hands starting to glow with a nimbus of pale blue, only to have it jerked out as she yanked a gun out of the Vampire's hand. She said her bit, then he took the gun, and put it in his pocket as he gingerly took her hand, which felt a lot softer than he expected. he concentrated on healing her, but he couldn't help, as he healed her, but marvel over how soft her hand was. in fact, he completely removed every scar from her body entirely on accident, and was about to go for her eyes when he realized he got distracted, and released the energy. then, the cost of hat he had done over the past hour hit, and he passed out.

I grinned at the Orc, "How well are you known as a hunter?" I had a plan, but for it to work, she'd have to be known.

"One of the best in my guild." She grunted. She looked towards where the healers stood and grabbed him before he hit the ground. She slung him over her shoulder with ease, her orcish strength making it easy. "Seem's like sleeping beauty just couldn't take the heat." She did not, could not, see that her scars were all gone. Though, she felt amazing. "Since he's a witness, I'll have to babysit him. Oh Joy..." She groaned. "Like a half blind half Orc girl has time... Bah, oh well."
